Iran and the United States have entered the technical phase of their nuclear negotiations, marking a notable step forward in efforts to revive a comprehensive agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program
Tehran, April 23- Iran and the United States are making progress in their talks about Iran’s nuclear program. The next round of meetings will take place this Saturday in Muscat, Oman, after two earlier meetings in Oman and Rome that both sides said were positive.
The two countries are discussing important issues like how much uranium Iran can enrich, what sanctions might be lifted, and how to check that Iran is following the rules. Iran says it’s open to some limits on its nuclear program if the U.S. agrees to ease economic sanctions. The U.S., however, wants strong guarantees that Iran won’t try to build nuclear weapons. Iran says its program is only for peaceful energy use.
The talks are happening during a time of high tension in the region. Iran’s foreign minister is planning to visit China to talk about the negotiations, and Iran has accused Israel of trying to sabotage the talks by threatening military action.
These talks are important not just for Iran and the U.S., but for peace and stability in the region and the world. Both countries are hopeful but know there is still a lot of work to do.
