Israel Strikes Gaza, Kills Senior Hamas Leader and 23 Others
GAZA: Israeli airstrikes kill senior Hamas leader Salah al-Bardawil and at least 22 others in southern Gaza, as the conflict escalates following Israel’s breach of the ceasefire.
Bardawil, a key member of Hamas’s political bureau, and his wife die in a predawn strike on their tent shelter in Khan Younis, according to Hamas, which accuses Israel of targeted assassination.
The group vows his death will fuel the “battle of liberation and independence.” Israel has not issued a statement.
Since Tuesday, Israeli attacks have killed at least 634 Palestinians, with air raids intensifying across the Gaza Strip.
