Pakistan security forces foil infiltration attempt at Pak-Afghan border, eliminate 16 militants, says Pakistan military media
NORTH WAZIRISTAN: On the night of March 22/23, Pakistan’s security forces detected the movement of a group of militants, attempting to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the general area of Ghulam Khan Kallay, North Waziristan District, says military media.
According to the military’s media wing, the troops swiftly engaged the infiltrators, effectively thwarting their attempt. After an intense exchange of fire, all 16 militants were neutralized.
The statement further emphasized that Pakistan has repeatedly urged the Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management and prevent the use of Afghan soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan. The Afghan authorities are expected to fulfill their obligations and deny safe haven to such elements.
Military media stated that, Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in their commitment to securing the country’s borders and eliminating the menace of terrorism.
